I. At the Dawn of Time

Rome arrived, but by no means completely subdued them. The mountains, forests, and native resistance meant that Romanization was restricted: roadways, bridges, agricultural villas… though the language and many customs continued on their own path.
III. Amongst Empires: The Early Center Ages
After the drop of Rome, these lands lay involving two worlds: the Frankish as well as the Visigothic.
